Four Down, Bale Up

Inter Milan 4–3 Spurs · San Siro, Milan

Four down and a man short, Bale nearly dragged Spurs back.

Spurs were four down inside 35 minutes, Gomes had been sent off in the eighth, and the home side were cruising. Then Bale started running at them: a goal on 52, and two more as the clock ran out. It finished 4-3 and the closing minutes belonged to him.
