The Chip and the Stare

Man Utd 5–0 Sunderland · Old Trafford, Manchester

One-two with McClair, a chip over Perez, then the collar-up stare.

Sunderland were already beaten when Cantona picked up the ball just inside their half. He swapped passes with McClair, saw the keeper off his line and lifted it over him. Then he stood still, collar up, chest out, and let Old Trafford look.
