Benfica Take the Crown

Benfica 5–3 Real Madrid · Olympisch Stadion, Amsterdam

Puskás scored three, but Eusébio arrived and Benfica won it.

Real Madrid, five-time champions, led 3-2 at half-time through a Puskás hat-trick. Benfica turned it round after the break, with Coluna levelling and the 20-year-old Eusébio scoring twice, once from the spot, as the holders kept the trophy.
