Gemmell Leaves the Back to Find the Net

The first British European Cup came from a 7th-minute deficit.

Inter went ahead from the spot in the seventh minute and spent the rest of the night defending. Celtic kept coming, and Gemmell, the left-back, smashed in the equaliser from 25 yards on 63 minutes. Chalmers diverted Murdoch's shot in for the winner six minutes from time.
