Messi Takes Wembley

Barcelona 3–1 Man Utd · Wembley Stadium, London

Barcelona owned the ball at Wembley, Messi owned the night.

Pedro put Barcelona ahead, Rooney levelled against the run of play, and Messi restored the lead with a driven shot from 20 yards nine minutes into the second half. Villa curled in the third from distance. Barcelona had 22 attempts to United's four, and UEFA named Messi man of the match.
