Milla Dances Cameroon Through

Cameroon 2–1 Colombia · AET · Stadio San Paolo, Naples

Milla was 38, and he scored twice in two minutes.

Goalless after ninety minutes, the match turned on the 38-year-old Roger Milla, who had come on early in the second half. He scored in the 106th minute, then dispossessed René Higuita far from his goal to make it two. Redín replied late, but Cameroon became the first African side to reach a World Cup quarter-final.
