Torres Over Lehmann

Spain 1–0 Germany · Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Vienna

Torres clipped Lehmann and Spain's 44-year wait for a title ended.

Spain needed one good pass. It came in the 33rd minute: Xavi's ball through, Torres ahead of Lahm, a clipped finish over the advancing Lehmann. It was the only goal of the final and Spain's first major title since 1964.
