Totti's Spoon in Amsterdam

Italy 0–0 Netherlands · 3–1 on pens · Amsterdam Arena, Amsterdam

Totti's chip beat Van der Sar after Toldo's heroics.

Ten-man Italy survived two Dutch penalties in normal time and held on through extra time. In the shoot-out Totti chipped his kick down the middle past Van der Sar. Toldo saved twice more to send Italy to the final.
