The Floater in Shizuoka

Brazil 2–1 England · Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa, Fukuroi

Ronaldinho's free-kick drifted over Seaman and ended England's tournament.

Owen put England ahead on 23 and Rivaldo levelled in first-half stoppage time after a Ronaldinho run. Just after the break Ronaldinho floated a free-kick from wide on the right that caught Seaman flat-footed and dropped in under the bar. He was sent off a few minutes later, and Brazil, in their blue away shirts, still saw it out.
