Šuker Seals the Germany Upset

Croatia beat Germany 3-0 in their World Cup debut.

Germany's Wörns was sent off after bringing down Šuker, and the unlikely quarter-final turned. Jarni's goal on the stroke of half-time was followed by Vlaović and then Šuker, who finished it. Croatia, in their first World Cup, reached the semi-finals.
