Carmona's Low Finish in Sydney

Spain 1–0 England · Stadium Australia, Sydney

Spain's left-back scored the only goal of the final.

Spain won the ball off Bronze and broke, and Carmona, the left-back and captain on the night, drove a low shot across Earps into the corner. Earps saved Hermoso's penalty, but Spain held on through 13 minutes of added time. Only after the final was Carmona told that her father had died before the match.
