Argentina Stays Alive

Argentina 2–0 Mexico · Lusail Stadium, Lusail, Qatar

One touch, one low drive, and Argentina's World Cup lived on.

Argentina had lost to Saudi Arabia in their opener, and this was one they could not lose. Messi broke the stalemate in the 64th minute with a low drive from outside the area, and substitute Enzo Fernández curled in a second for his first Argentina goal.
